What do you need to know about the Gith? They are one people split into two factions: the Githyanki and the Githzerai. Those two factions hate each each. That’s the really important, but very basic thing you need to know. There’s a lot of cool stuff going on in this episode that I don’t want to spoil, but I will say that pirates, dragons and maybe even some Digimon all make an appearance.
