Empyreans might look a little bland but that’s probably just because they are.
However, there’s some very cool aspects to them and we can easily imagine a dozen different ways to implement them into your campaign in interesting ways. The raw descriptions in the Monster Manual leave a lot to be desired, but they have so much more potential than is presented.
